Then let us educate you. Cricut Maker is faster and has more cutting power than Cricut Joy and Explore. Understandably it is also more expensive than other models. If you already have a Cricut Explore or Joy, Cricut Maker would be a major upgrade. It is also compatible with Cricut Design Space, available for free on cricut.com/setup.
